Summary
SMID service pack, hotfix, or patch installation fails. The following error message may appear in the C:\updsilent_YYMMDD.dbg (Windows) or /var/log/updsilent_YYMMDD.dbg (Linux) log file:
Some database has not been generated by ntf.
Details
Public
In SMID 5.0, databases are generated during installation. In version 5.5 or higher, a new database setup method was introduced. This new method creates a Domino task "dbsetup" to generate all SMID database during Domino start up. Once databases are created on the initial SMID startup, the task will be removed from Domino tasks.
The process will fail when you try to install a service pack, hotfix, or a patch for SMID 5.5 or higher before the initial start up, which means prior to the SMID database creation.
To resolve the issue, initialize SMID startup before you try to apply any service pack, hotfix, or a patch for SMID.
