"Installation terminated by user!" appear when installing the latest Patch on a Control Manager (TMCM) server

Summary
Installing the latest patch in TMCM 6.0 shows the following error:
Installation terminated by user!
Checking the C:\TMPatch.log file, a similar log entry below shows where the Patch installation fails to run the rename procedure:

To resolve the issue:
  1. Stop the following TMCM services:
    • Trend Micro Management Infrastructure
    • Trend Micro Common CGI
    • Trend Micro Control Manager
    • Trend Micro NTP
  2. Go to ..\Program Files\Trend Micro\Control Manager\ directory.
  3. Rename the schema.old.beforeB1400.Patch1.xml file to schema.old.beforeB1400.Patch1.xml.BAK.
  4. Run the Patch installation again.
If the installation still fails, collect the latest C:\TMPatch.log file and contact Trend Micro Technical Support.
