- Scan Exclusion setting
Configure Scan Exclusion settings by following the steps in this article: Recommended scan exclusion list for OfficeScan and Worry-Free Business Security.
- Scan Cache setting
Enable digital signature cache & on-demand scan cache.
- Network Drive Scan setting
Disable network drive scan if not needed.
"Scan network drive" is only available for Real-time and Manual Scan
- Scan compressed files/Scan OLE objects setting
Check if there's a high number of maximum layers to be scanned for compressed files or OLE objects.
- CPU Usage setting
Set CPU Usage setting to High. This will allow OfficeScan to use system resources for intensive scanning.Other applications may experience performance issues.
- Unauthorized Change Prevention Service setting
Disable Unauthorized Change Prevention Service if the following features are not used:
This service may affect the overall system performance.
- Behavior Monitoring
- Device Control
- Client Self Protection
- Data Protection Service setting
Disable Data Protection Service if not needed.This service is only available when the OfficeScan Data Protection plug-in program is installed.
