Summary
After installing WFBS, it takes a long time for the initial scan to finish in your environment.
Details
Public
After WFBS installation, the Security Agent performs an initial scan to create a digital signature cache. Creating the cache may take a while in some environments as it invokes ntrtscan.exe to scan one file every minute until the cache is complete. However, this feature cannot be disabled via the WFBS console.
To disable the digital signature cache:
  1. Back up the ...\PCCSRV\ofcscan.ini file on the Security Server.
  2. Open the ofscan.ini file and look for GCLCacheEnable=1.
  3. Change the value of GCLCacheEnable to 0 (GCLCacheEnable=0).
The new setting will be deployed to the client registy when the client updates.
  4. Verify if the changes are implemented.
    1. Go to the client registry via Start > regedit.
    2. Navigate to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\TrendMicro\PC-cillinNTCorp\CurrentVersion\Misc.]. The value should be GCLCacheEnable=0.
