An error message occurs when OfficeScan server tries to download the pattern. The pattern cannot be updated because some files are locked or corrupted.
The pattern files can be removed to free some disk space.
To remove the pattern from the server:
- Stop the OfficeScan Master Service.
- Delete the following files:
It is possible that some files are unavailable.
- \PCCSRV\*.ptn
- Smart Scan Agent Patterns
\PCCSRV\icrc$oth.* - Conventional Scan Agent Patterns
\PCCSRV\lpt$vpn.* - IntelliTrap Exception Patterns
\PCCSRV\tmwhite.* - IntelliTrap Patterns
\PCCSRV\tmblack.* - Spyware Patterns
\PCCSRV\ssaptpn.* - Virus Cleanup Template
\PCCSRV\Admin\tsc.ptn - \PCCSRV\Download\*.*
- \PCCSRV\TEMP\*.*
- \PCCSRV\wss\activeupdate\*.*
- \PCCSRV\wss\patterns\*.*
- \PCCSRV\wss\x64\LWCS\wcspatterns\*.*
- Restart the OfficeScan Master Service or reboot the server.
You should be able to download the pattern again.
