This article shows the default actions set for Hosted Email Security inbound and outbound policies.

Details
Public

For Inbound

The default action for the following policies is set to DELETE:

  • Spam or Phish
  • Exceeding msg size or # of recipients
  • High-risk attachment
  • Virus

The default action for "Newsletter or Spam-Like" policy is set to TAG SUBJECT.

The default action for "Password Protected" policy is set to STAMP.

For Outbound

You will not be able to modify Global Outbound Policy. This is a default rule in HES to avoid outbound spam and prevent HES outbound servers from being blacklisted by third-party Real-time Blackhole Lists (RBLs). The policies cannot be edited and they are activated by default for all domains.
