You are unable to upgrade Integrated Server's smart scan pattern. Either of the following errors appear when performing Update Now:
- Update unsucessful. Try to update again or contact your support provider if this issue persist [errno:92]
- Update unsucessful. Try to update again or contact your support provider if this issue persist [errno:19]
As per ...\PCCSRV\WSS\diagnostic.log, Error 19 or Error 92 means insufficient disk space.
The solution to this issue is to have the recommended disk space for OSCE.
Disk requirement: Pattern size * NeedDiskSpaceRatio (10 by default)
If the available disk space is less than the OSCE requirement, it will display an error 19 or error 92.
To fix this:
- Go to the ...\PCCSRV\WSS folder.
- Back up the AU.ini file.
- Open the AU.ini file using Notepad or any text editor.
- Add the following item under the [common] section and [AU] sections:
NeedDiskSpaceRatio=X
Where X = 10 by default. You can adjust it depending on the available disk space.
- Save and close the file.
On the console, go to Smart Protection > Integrated Server. Initiate Update now for the Smart scan pattern.
There are no available utilities to compress the OSCE server's directory. Here are the list of files that you can manually delete if you need to recover disk space:
(Assuming that you have installed the OfficeScan Server in the default location)
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\TEMP - delete all except hidden files
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\Web\Service\AU_Data\AU_Temp - delete all
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\wss - delete all *.log
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\wss\AU_Data\AU_Temp - delete all
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\Backup - delete all
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\Virus - delete all
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\ssaptn.* - Reserve the latest pattern only
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\lpt$vpn.* - Reserve the latest three patterns only
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\icrc$oth.* - Reserve the latest two subfolders
You can also save disk space by moving the old database backup to another folder. By default, the OfficeScan server stores database in C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\DBBackup.
Alternatively, you can specify a different folder where your OSCE can save the backed up files. To do this from the management console, go to Administration > Database Backup > Change backup path.
In case you still lack the disk space required after performing the steps above, you might want to consider uninstalling and reinstalling OSCE to another drive with enough space.
