Know what Defer Scanning is and how to enable it in WFBS 9.0.
Details
Public
Defer Scan is an additional feature in common clients to improve the performance of file copy operations. Traditional VSAPI scanning performs two scanning operations when copying files. Defer Scanning adds one of the file scans to the scan queue and defers the file scanning operation.
This option is disabled by default in WFBS 9.0. To enable the feature:
Note: Enabling this feature significantly improves file copy performance, but may introduce a slight security risk as you are postponing a file scan operation.
  1. Log in to the WFBS Security Server console.
  2. Go to Preferences > Global Settings > Desktop/Servers.
  3. Under General Scan Settings, tick the Enable deferred scanning on file operations option.
  4. Click Save.
