This article gives you the steps on how to upgrade your old WFBS versions to version 9.0. All customers who are using WFBS 6, WFBS 7 and WFBS 8 with or without any service pack can upgrade to WFBS 9 SP1.
To upgrade the program to WFBS 9.0, follow the instructions below.

- Download the WFBS 9.0 SP1 installer and save it in your machine.
- Right-click the file and run the installer as Administrator.
- Click the Start button to extract the files.
- Click Yes on the Upgrade Reminder page.
- On the Installation Wizard page, click Next to continue with the installation.
- On the License Agreement page, select I accept the terms of the license agreement, then click Next.
- Follow the steps provided in the Setup Diagnosis to make sure the installation will continue. Click Next.
- The previous installation will be detected, click Next to continue the upgrade.
- If you want to automatically upgrade the Security Agents, select the Automatically upgrade all Security Agents in your network option.
If you want to delay the upgrade, choose Allow clients to delay upgrading their Security Agent for a maximum period of:, and then set how long you want to delay the upgrade. Click Next to continue.
- Select whether you want to upgrade the Messaging Security Agent (MSA) or not.
If you choose Yes, fill out the necessary information at the bottom of the window. Then click Next.
If you select No, click Next to continue.
The Setup Status window will appear.
- Click the Finish button to complete the upgrade.
- After successfully upgrading to WFBS 9 SP1, download the WFBS Service Pack 3 here.
- Right-click on the downloaded WFBS Service Pack 3 installer and select Run as administrator. This will automatically extract the file on your machine and start the installation.
- On the License Agreement page, select I accept the terms of the license agreement, then click Next.
- Click Install.
- Once prompted, click Yesto proceed with the installation. This will allow the SP3 installer to automatically restart the Security Server Master Service and World Wide Publishing Service or Apache Service.
- Click OKto proceed with the installation. This will confirm that a hotfix will be deployed on the Remote Messaging Security Agent, with or without a Messegaing Security Agent.
- Wait until the installation process completes and click OK.
