Summary
The error “Failed to create a PV on /dev/mapper/IWSVA-app_bin1" appears when running the "Configure System Harddisk" clish command. This command is needed to change the generic configuration and complete the hard disk configuration after importing the IWSVA image to the Microsoft Hyper-V Server.

To resolve the issue:
  1. Install IWSVA 6.0 Patch 1 build 1246.
    For more information about the patch, refer to the readme file.
  2. Request the IWSVA 6.0 hot fix build 1249 from Trend Micro Technical Support and install it on the newly created appliance.
  3. Follow the full procedure in completing the hard disk configuration that is described in Page 166 of the IWSVA 6.0 Installation Guide.
Note: It is important to complete the hard disk configuration immediately after the hot fix installation to avoid running out of disk space on your IWSVA.
