Slow Microsoft Outlook performance when using ZARAFA mail server in Worry-Free Business Security (WFBS) 9.0

You experience performance issues of MS Outlook that uses the ZARAFA mail server.

When outlook.exe connects to ZARAFA mail server (Linux-based) using HTTP protocol, traffic is scanned by the network driver and impacts the performance of Outlook.

The issue can be resolved by adding outlook.exe to the Process Exception List of Web Reputation and URL Filtering. Do the following steps:

  1. Open the Security Server console.
  2. Go to the WFBS Server Management Console > Preferences > Global Settings > Desktop/Server > Web Reputation and URL Filtering > Process Exception List.
  3. Type "outlook.exe" on the Process Exception List field and then click Add.

  4. Click Save.
