Cannot import a custom Sandbox in Deep Discovery Inspector (DDI)

Importing a custom Sandbox in DDI fails and you receive the following error message in the usandbox.log:

VBoxManage: error: <vbox:Machine> element in OVF contains a medium attachment for the disk image <image ID> but the OVF describes no such image

Before you export the OVA image from VirtualBox, eject the ISO file from the CD-ROM drive.

  1. In the Virtual Manager Console, go to Storage.
  2. Under Storage Tree, select the ISO file.
  3. Under the Attributes section, click the CD icon and then select the Remove the disk from virtual drive option.

    Eject ISO file

  4. Export the virtual machine to the OVA image then import it again to DDI.

You should be able to import the custom Sandbox.
