Unable to upgrade Deep Security Agent (DSA) from version 8.0 to 9.0

Server0.log in the Deep Security Manager (DSM) installation directory (C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Deep Security Manager) shows errors when upgrading DSA version 8.0 to 9.0:
  • Dec 17, 2013 12:53:42 AM com.thirdbrigade.manager.core.Core processInitDatabase SEVERE: ThID:10|TID:0|TNAME:Primary|UID:-1|UNAME:|Unable to start. The software version (9.0.5500) did not match the schema version (9.0.6019). If this is one manager node of many, please ensure that you run the installer package to upgrade. The service will not be able to start until the software is upgraded.
  • <Date>Info 264 Agent Software Upgrade Requested localhost.localdomain (hostname) MasterAdmin Agent software upgrade from version 8.0.0.1731 to version requested, but it has been ignored because the requested upgrade version is not newer than the Agent's current version.

The issue occurs because there are different installer packages running on multiple nodes in your DSM. Make sure that all the nodes have the same updated package to successfully upgrade the DSA to version 9.0.
