Installing the WFRM Agent requires the following:

  • TMRM Agent GUID
  • Agent installer (WFRMAgentforWFBS.exe)
  • Active Internet connection
  • 50 MB available hard disk space
  1. From the Remote Manager console, add the customer and provide an optional description.
  2. Add WFBS Standard or Advanced to the Remote Manager console, generating a GUID in the process.
  3. Install the TMRM Agent on the WFBS Standard or Advanced server using the TMRM console-generated GUID.
  1. From the Remote Manager console, go to the Customers tab and select your preferred customer.
  2. Add WFBS Standard or Advanced to the TMRM console, generating a GUID in the process.
  3. Install the TMRM Agent on the WFBS Standard or Advanced server using the TMRM console-generated GUID.
  1. On the Security Server, open the WFRM Agent installer.

    This is the ..\PCCSRV\Admin\Utility\RmAgent\WFRMforWFBS.exe file.

  2. Run the installation file and read the license agreement.
  3. Select I accept the terms of the license agreement, and then click Next.
  4. Enter your name and the name of your company.
  5. Specify the installation location. To use the default location, click Next.
  6. For the Server Address, enter the FQDN of Remote Manager server.

    Use the FQDN that corresponds to your region:

    • Asia Pacific: wfrm-apaca.trendmicro.com
    • Europe and the Middle East: wfrm-emeaa.trendmicro.com
    • Japan: wfrm-jpa.trendmicro.com
    • Latin America: wfrm-lara.trendmicro.com
    • North America: wfrm-usa.trendmicro.com
  7. Select a communication protocol, and then do any of the following:

    For HTTPS (Recommended):

    1. Click HTTPS and then type port "443".
    2. Get the WFRM Agent SSL certificate.
    3. Enter the path and filename of the SSL certificate or click the Browse button to locate the SSL certificate.

    For HTTP:

    Select HTTP and then type port "80".

  8. Click Next.
  9. Specify the settings if your WFBS server uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet, and then click Next.
  10. Type the agent name and the GUID, and then click Next.
  11. Review the installation settings and then click Next > Finish.
  1. Click Customers > {customer name} > Products (tab) > Add.
  2. Select the service plan, the start date, and number of units per license.
  3. Add the product or service.

    The product or service is added and the details of the addition will appear.

    The WFBS server will automatically install the TMRM agent by midnight (00:00:00 at local time). If the TMRM agent auto- installation fails, it will try to re-install the agent the following day at the same time (00:00:00 at local time).

     
    Installing the TMRM agent manually using GUID will not work with the WFBS LMP model. It will only result to the error “The GUID is invalid”.
