Verifying if the SafeSync for Enterprise (SSFE) server is successfully installed

To verify that the SSFE server is installed properly:
  1. Confirm all SSFE related services are running.
    Log on to the SSFE shell and run the command for each related service to verify if they are running.
    • Management UI, Healthcheck, Perlbal80, and PerlbalMgmtUI services
      <safesync@appliance1:~$ sudo supervisorctl status
      healthcheck RUNNING pid 2452, uptime 57 days, 23:31:18
      mgmtui RUNNING pid 2925, uptime 57 days, 23:31:36
      perlbal80 RUNNING pid 2499, uptime 57 days, 23:32:00
      perlbalmgmtui RUNNING pid 2498, uptime 57 days, 23:32:00
    • Apache2 service
      safesync@appliance1:~$ sudo service apache2 status
      Apache is running (pid 2757)
    • TMSyslog
      safesync@appliance1:~$ sudo service tmsyslog status
      is running
    • NginX service
      safesync@appliance1:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/nginx status
      * nginx is running
    • KMSD service
      safesync@appliance1:~$ sudo screen -ls
      There are screens on:
           2407.keygen (05/21/14 07:48:16) (Detached)
           2387.admin (05/21/14 07:48:15) (Detached)
           2373.service (05/21/14 07:48:15) (Detached)
      Sockets in /var/run/screen/S-root
    • Lighttpd service
      safesync@appliance1:~$ sudo service lighttpd status
      lighttpd start/running, process 1074
    • Grunjobs service
      safesync@appliance1:~$ sudo service grunjobs status
      * 9 Gearman Job Runner processes running grunjobs
      One or more grunjobs process must be running.
    • Gearman-job-server service
      safesync@appliance1:~$ sudo cat /var/run/gearman/gearmand.pid
      2512
      The pid of the service must be listed.
    • MogileFS service
      safesync@appliance1:~$ sudo cat /var/run/mogile/mogilefsd.pid
      2566
      The pid of the service must be listed.
    • Mogstored service
      safesync@appliance1:~$ sudo cat /var/run/mogstored.pid
      2570
      The pid of the service must be listed.
  2. Check the System Status on the SSFE management console.
    1. Log in to the SSFE Management console using a browser (https://SSFE-Server-IP:3443/).
      Default username: administrator
      Default password: safesync
    2. Go to the Dashboard > System Status tab.
    3. Verify that there are no System Status alerts.

      Note: Ignore the Database HA and Secondary Server warnings when deploying a single server.
  3. Test the system by uploading a file.
    1. Open the SSFE web console using the address: https://www.example.com/.
      Note: The actual address may vary according to your DNS settings.
    2. Log in to the SSFE web console using the default account credentials.
      Note: You may get the default account credentials from your SSFE Administrator's Guide.
    3. Click the Upload File button to upload files to SSFE.
