Icon is grayed out after installing Exchange Connector in Mobile Security (TMMS) for Enterprise

After following the prerequisites and installing Exchange Connector, the icon in the system tray is grayed out.

After further checking, the Exchange Connector logs in \Program Files\Trend Micro\ExchangeConnector\debug shows a snippet of the error logs.

The issue occurs because .NET 3.5 Framework is not installed in the server where the Exchange Connector is installed.

To resolve this issue:

  1. Open the Server Manager.
  2. Go to Features > Add Features.
  3. Select .NET Framework 3.5.1.
  4. Click Next > Install. Wait for the installation to complete.
  5. Restart the Exchange Connector service.
