Learn how to add the NSX to Deep Security Manager (DSM) for the security management of virtual machines (VMs) in datacenter.
Details
To add the vCenter to Deep Security Manager:
- From the Deep Security Manager, go to the Computers.
- Click New, and then select Add VMware vCenter.

- On the Add VMware vCenter Wizard, enter the following:
- Server: The IP address or hostname and port to connect to the vCenter
- Name: A name and description of the datacenter for display purposes only
- Credentials: A username and password to access the vCenter
- Accept the SSL certificate if required.
- Provide the NSX Manager Server Address and the required credentials.
- Accept again the SSL certificate if required.
The Add VMware vCenter Wizard will display a successful result message when the vCenter has been imported. - Click Finish and then click Close.
When Deep Security Manager adds the vCenter to its inventory, it also registers Deep Security as a service within NSX Manager.
