Details
Microsoft has released two security bulletins regarding its MS14-045 security updates.
- MS14-045: Description of the security update for kernel-mode drivers: August 12, 2014 (Original bulletin)
- MS14-045: Description of the security update for kernel-mode drivers: August 27, 2014 (Updated fixes)
These security updates, when installed, blocks the installation of the Common CGI component of TMCM. This then cancels the entire TMCM installation.
Who is affected?
All users who want to install a new TMCM server are affected by this issue. Users who have already installed TMCM before the security patches are installed are not affected.
Recommended Action
Those who have already installed TMCM do not need to do any further action.
For those who want to make a new TMCM installation, make sure to remove the Microsoft security fixes specified in the MS14-045 articles before running the TMCM GM installer.
Fix Availability
TMCM 6.0 Repack 6 is released to resolve this issue.
Note: Use this repack only if you need to install TMCM 6.0. If you already have already installed TMCM, you do not need to use this repack.
