Retrieve logs needed to troubleshoot SafeSync for Business (SSFB) in Mac OS X. The logs that need to be gathered when troubleshooting are:
- System Profiler
- ClientLog
- State Files
Do the following to get the log files needed to fix issues in SafeSync in Mac OS X:
- Retrieve the System Profiler logs using any of the following methods:
Using the Menu bar
- Click Go, then select Utilities.
- Click System Profiler.
Using the Applications folder
- Open the Applications folder on the Dock.
- Go to Utilities, then click System Profiler.
Using the Spotlight
- Type “System Profiler” in the Spotlight field.
- Press Return.
Using About This Mac
- Click the Apple Menu and select About This Mac.
- Click More Info.
- Click Go, then select Utilities.
- Save the System Profiler log file.
- Go to File and select Save File.
- On the File Format dropdown list, select Rich Text Format(RTF).
You can use Notepad to open the log file.
- On the Menu bar, click Go and then select Home.
- Go to Library > Logs > Trend Micro > OSDP.
- On the Menu bar, click Go and then click Home.
- Go to Library > Application Support.
- Look for the email address you use to login to your SafeSync account. Example: abc123@yahoo.com.store
- Right-click or control-click the email address and then select Show Package Content.
- Look for the following files:
- state.local
- state.remote
