To install patches in a Windows environment:

  1. Download Critical Patch from Trend Micro Download Center.
  2. Extract ZIP file.
  3. In the extracted folder, you will find an archive file in TAR format: archive file
  4. Upload this TAR file to the IMSVA environment via FTP.
    For example, imsva_90_en_criticalpatch1516.tar.gz is uploaded in https://esupport.trendmicro.com/media:
    imsva_90_en_criticalpatch1516.tar.gz 

Via IMSVA command line:

  1. Log in as root.

    log in a root 

  2. Extract imsva_90_en_criticalpatch1516.tar.gz using the command:

     tar xzf file_name

    tar xzf file_name command 
  3. Open the extracted folder.
  4. Install the patch using the command:

    ./imssinst

    ./imssinst command 
  5. After the installation, you will see that related services are started.
