You encounter a timeout error in Deep Security Manager (DSM) console while activating the Deep Security Virtual Appliance (DSVA).
The DSVA VMware console also shows the followig error:
UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY.
(i.e., without -a or -p options)
*** An error occurred during the file system check.
*** Dropping you to a shell; the system will reboot
*** when you leave the shell.
Give root password for maintenance
(or type CTRL-D to continue)
It is possible to run fsck using the #sudo command instead of switching to root account.
You need to check if the ESXi system time is correct. In Deep Security 9.5, a system time check takes place when DSVA is activated. If there is a difference between DSM and ESXi system, the activation fails.
