OSDP SafeSync for Business (SSFB) migration

Summary

Learn about OSDP migration of DC2 (MUC1) from DCS to AWS (DC2 – AWS in Frankfurt) without any data loss. DC2 will be under Read-only mode during the maintenance while DC1 & DC3 will work as usual as expected.

During the Read-only mode, OSDP will run as usual, however, it will not take new requests or modifications. See below list for the impact to customers.

The Sign up page will be a maintain page during Read-only mode.

SafeSync for Business (SSFB) Maintenance Page

  • The following warning message appears on top of the File Explorer:

    While Trend Micro upgrades to a new storage system for SafeSync, you may view but cannot change files that you have stored online.

  • In the Account Information section on the sidebar, the following options are hidden:
    • Edit Account
    • Buy Now
    • Manage Seats
    • Customization
    • Expired Date

    Only View Details is permitted.

  • Cannot upload files via HTML5, Java Uploader, and Drag & Drop.

  • Cannot get Shareable Link.

  • Cannot Copy / Modify / Move / Delete files under Common Tasks. Only Downloading and viewing of files are permitted.

  • For file versioning, only Download is the permitted action.
    Only Download is permitted for file versioning
  • Cannot create or update (Edit, Rename & Delete) Team Folders for users.

Windows Client Console

  • An "Update in Progress" message shows in the Status tab.
  • Cannot upload files.
  • Sync tab is greyed out.

  • An "Update in Progress" message shows in the Status tab.
  • Cannot upload files.
  • Sync tab is greyed out.
