Summary

You currently have WFBS 7.0 installed on your system and you want to migrate to OSCE 10.3 SP3. Due to large number of clients, you want the WFBS uninstallation to be automated using an uninstall pattern.

As WFBS and OSCE are almost identical, automatic removal of WFBS is not recommended. The installer may encounter issues in differentiating OSCE and WFBS files and other components:

  • Service names such as NtRtScan and TmListen are the same.
  • Client registry information such as product key and uninstall key are the same.
  • Driver problems may also occur as drivers such as VSAPI are identical for both products.

To perform the migration properly:

  1. Uninstall WFBS.
  2. Reboot the machine.
  3. Install OSCE.
