After upgrading to WFBS 9.0 SP 2, clicking the Outbreak Defense tab on the web console results in the following error:
Error 502 Bad Gateway: The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
In the customer’s environment, cgiShowOPP.exe is dependent on CGIShare.dll. The DLL file version is not a match because the old CGIShare.dll was not upgraded to the SP 2 version, which is the root cause of the error.
The following PCCSRV directories contain the old CGIShare.dll version.
[C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\Web\CGI\]
[C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\Web\Service\]
[C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\Web_console\CGI\]

2014/03/13 17:51 554720 CGIShare.dll 19.0.0.1431
The SP 2 version should be 19.0.0.3253.
[C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\Web_console\CGI\]
[C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\Web_SMB\Web_console\CGI\]
cgiShowOPP.exe 19.0.0.3253
To resolve the issue:
- Open the extracted WFBS 9.0 SP 2 installation package.
- Find the CGIShare.dll Build 19.0.0.3253 file.
- Go to \security server\pccsrv\*.*.
- Replace all CGIShare.dll files with the new version.
- Restart the Master Service.
- Go to the Outbreak Defense tab to check the Outbreak Prevention Policy (OPP) web page.
This should prevent the HTTP Error 502 from appearing when clicking the Outbreak Defense tab of the WFBS 9.0 SP 2 web console.
