Due to incorrectly set file system permissions, the OSCE web console encounters PHP errors resulting in a malfunctioning Dashboard or Widgets.
To resolve this issue, reinstall Plugin Manager:
- Open the Registry Editor by clicking Start, then search “regedit.exe”. Always back up the whole registry before making any modifications. Incorrect changes to the registry can cause serious system problems.
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{5DB0ECA1-4C56-488B-9BF1-FB300D9E1F54}.
For 64-bit systems, go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{5DB0ECA1-4C56-488B-9BF1-FB300D9E1F54}.
- Select and right-click to modify the SystemComponent key to "0" (default is "1").
- Close the Registry Editor.
- Uninstall Plug-in Manager 2.0 from Add/Remove Programs. If no Plug-in Manager is shown, go back to step 3 and make sure the value has changed to "0".
- Restart the OfficeScan Master Service by going to services.msc > OfficeScan Master Service > Restart.
- On the Dashboard page, refresh the browser. If you are logged out, log in again and access the Dashboard.
- Click the Download button from the Plug-in Manager console and see if the issue persists.
