Dashboard errors because of PHP Permission issue in OfficeScan (OSCE)

Due to incorrectly set file system permissions, the OSCE web console encounters PHP errors resulting in a malfunctioning Dashboard or Widgets.

To resolve this issue, reinstall Plugin Manager:

  1. Open the Registry Editor by clicking Start, then search “regedit.exe”.
     
    Always back up the whole registry before making any modifications. Incorrect changes to the registry can cause serious system problems.

  2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{5DB0ECA1-4C56-488B-9BF1-FB300D9E1F54}.

    For 64-bit systems, go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{5DB0ECA1-4C56-488B-9BF1-FB300D9E1F54}.

  3. Select and right-click to modify the SystemComponent key to "0" (default is "1").

  4. Close the Registry Editor.
  5. Uninstall Plug-in Manager 2.0 from Add/Remove Programs. If no Plug-in Manager is shown, go back to step 3 and make sure the value has changed to "0".

  6. Restart the OfficeScan Master Service by going to services.msc > OfficeScan Master Service > Restart.

  7. On the Dashboard page, refresh the browser. If you are logged out, log in again and access the Dashboard.
  8. Click the Download button from the Plug-in Manager console and see if the issue persists.
