To build a large exclusion list:

  1. Get the master list of folders to be excluded from SEP.
  2. On the OfficeScan server, go to C:\program files\Trend micro\Officescan\PCCSRV folder.
  3. Back up the ofcscan.ini file.
  4. Stop the OfficeScan Master Service.
  5. Open the existing ofcscan.ini file using a Notepad.
  6. Search for the "ExcludedFolder" parameter.
  7. Enter all your exclusions.
    The folders should be separated using a pipe (|) symbol with no space. Below is an example:

    ExcludedFolder=C:\test|C:\test2

  8. Save and close the file.
  9. Start the OfficeScan Master Service.
  10. On the OfficeScan console, go to Agent Management.
  11. Select the OfficeScan domain and click Settings > Real-Time Scan Settings.
  12. Click Apply to all agents to deploy the master list to all the clients in the folders.
