SPLX license activation fails because of the error "You have entered the current Activation Code."

Details
Public

This error appears because of a possible a failure during the first attempt to activate the license, which might have resulted in a corrupted/unreadable license profile. Alternatively, the license profile is not readable from the web console because of a possible permission issue.

To resolve the issue:

  1. Stop serverProtect by executing the following command when logged on as root:

    service splx stop

  2. Delete the following file:

    /opt/TrendMicro/SProtectLinux/.LicenseProfile.dat

  3. Start ServerProtect using the following command:

    service splx start

  4. Go the SPLX web console and enter the license.
