When you try to activate Deep Security Virtual Appliance (DSVA) using an agent-initiated activation, the following error message occurs in the server0 log:
FINE: ThID:65|TID:0|TNAME:Main|UID:-1|UNAME:|Action AGENTINITIATED failed com.trendmicro.ds.platform.objects.protocol.ProtocolException: Running post activation tasks on dsva but session teardown not supported, cannot continue.
Normally, DSVA activation is only supported from Deep Security Manager (DSM) console. Agent-initiated activation for DSVA causes the error.
To resolve the issue, activate your DSVA using the DSM console.
- On the DSM console, click Overview.
- Select Actions tab.
- Click Activate.
