When you go to the OfficeScan (OSCE) agent console by right-clicking on the OSCE icon in the system tray and then choosing "Open OfficeScan agent console", the virus/malware counter and spyware/grayware counter mentions a "date since".
This is normal. This date is determined by the agent side's log maintenance settings. To view it:
- Open the agent console.
- Click on the Settings icon.
- Click on the System tab and change the dropdown box from the proxy to the log maintenance tab.
You will see that the default log maintenance setting is 15 days.
So the "date since" in the agent console means number of malware detected for the last 15 days. If you modify the agent side's log maintenance settings, this will also change it accordingly.
Take note that this agent side's log maintenance is separate from the OSCE console's log maintenance settings for the OSCE database. This agent side's log maintenance is just for the end user to see logs but even if it only keeps records of last 15 days (for example), the OSCE server will keep logs based on the OSCE console's log maintenance settings.
