In OSCE XG, the administrator could use public-key encryption to communicate with Control Manager (TMCM). This article shows how to troubleshoot the following error.

The "The specified Control Manager certificate file is not valid." message appears when there is an error in registration. Perform the following check:

  • Make sure the TMCM certificate is valid. Import the certificate from the following location on the TMCM server: <Control Manager installation folder>\Certificate\CA\TMCM_CA_Cert.pem.

  • If there is a proxy between the OSCE server and TMCM, make sure that the OSCE server trusts the proxy. Follow steps below to install proxy certification:
    1. Obtain the proxy certification in .cer format.
    2. Double-click the certification and click Install Certification....
    3. Click Next.
    4. Select "Place all certificates in the following store" and click Browse....
    5. Select Trusted Root Certification Authorities > OK > Next.
