Trend Micro has received some reports that blue screen of death (BSOD) may occur on certain Windows environment where OSCE 11 SP1 Critical Patch 6355 is installed. The trigger is an uncommon situation where a system has a device node without service name.
To prevent this issue from occurring, OSCE 11 SP1 Critical Patch 6355 has been repacked to include an updated module and re-uploaded as OSCE 11 SP1 Critical Patch 6355-R1.
OSCE 11 SP1 CP 6355-R1 (EN) can be downloaded in our Download Center.
This critical patch contains the fixes and enhancements for the following:
- Enables the OSCE agent program to support Windows 10 Creators Update RS2.
- Updates the Trend Micro Common Module to prevent the BSOD when OSCE agent attempts to parse the service name list of a Windows kernel device in the device tree.
- For the whole list of the fixes included in this release, refer to the Release History section in the Critical Patch 6355-R1 Readme.
Trend Micro recommends customers who have downloaded the previous critical patch to refrain from applying it and use the repacked version instead.
If you have already installed the previous Critical Patch 6355, you can install Critical Patch 6355-R1 or the latest hot fix to update and deploy the updated modules.
