“Unable to display data...” appears after clicking update widget button in OfficeScan (OSCE)

Summary

The "Unable to display data because of an unexpected error. Please try again later." error appears after clicking the Update Widget button in the OSCE web console:

This issue was reported on OSCE XG Hot Fix Build 1692 and later versions with both of the following conditions met:

  • Widgets had not been updated before
  • After Hot Fix Build 1692 (or later versions) were installed, Widget Update on the OSCE web console was clicked

The error is due to one of the widget files having been reverted to older version when the widget update was triggered.

The “Unable to display data..." error can be solved by installing the latest hot fix or critical patch on the server again.

For example, if the error happened on OSCE XG Version 1692, install Hot Fix Build 1692 again to prevent the error. When the installation is finished, log on to the OSCE web console and reload the dashboard to see if the widgets are displayed normally.
