Know the details on when an agent inventory scan is triggered.
- An Event-triggered Inventory Scan happens in the following scenarios:
- After AC Agent installation
- After AC Agent upgrade
- After AC Agent applies a Lockdown rule
- A Scheduled Inventory Scan is configurable in Policy Settings under the User Experience tab: A Scheduled Inventory Scan is not triggered if the policy contains a Lockdown rule. This is to ensure that no new applications will run on the endpoint after the lockdown. Furthermore, changing policy settings where a Lockdown rule is already present does not trigger another inventory scan after the agents re-apply the policy. Only when the agent is moved out and moved back in of the Lockdown rule will an inventory scan be triggered.
