There is a known issue wherein CPU sparks due to location awareness, which is only applicable to single CPU virtual machine. The settings are used to determine whether a protected computer has an Internet connectivity. For internal computers, they will never be in roaming mode.

To resolve the issue, disable the location testing:

  1. On the Deep Security Manager console, go to Administration > System Settings.
  2. Navigate to Contexts > Internet Connectivity Test.
  3. Set the Test Interval to Never.
