When DDEI is deployed in BCC mode, the emails will be directly forwarded to the end-users via upstream MTA without any delay. At the same time, the upstream MTA needs to BCC those emails to DDEI.
Implement the BCC deployment mode using Barracuda Email Security Gateway as the upstream MTA.
- Open the Barracuda Email Security Gateway web console then go to DOMAINS > Domain Manager.
- Add one non-existent domain such as ddeicncorelab.com into the domain list.
- Go to DOMAINS > Smart Hosts and add the smart host info for the new added non-existent domain, use DDEI server as Destination Server.
-
Go to BASIC > Administrator then under the Mail Journaling section, enter a Destination Email Address. The address domain name is the new added non-existent domain in step 2.
- Save the settings.
- Send the testing mails to Barracuda Email Security Gateway and check if DDEI can get the mails from Barracuda Email Security Gateway.
