When upgrading the ESXi host after registering the vCenter to the Deep Security Manager (DSM), the new ESXi version entry does not appear in NSX deployment section. This missing information can cause unsuccessful deployment of Deep Security Virtual Appliance (DSVA).
In addition, NSX may show the following error:
Agent is not deployed due to incompatible host.
Workaround 1: Manually add the ESXi version entry
- Log on to the vCenter web console and access Networking & Security.
- Navigate to Service Definition > Trend Micro Deep Security.
- Click the Deployment tab.
- Add the ESXi version entry that you installed (e.g. 6.*), and provide the same OVF URL information similar to the other entries.
- Save the changes.
- Re-deploy the package.
Workaround 2: Trigger a vCenter sync from Deep Security Manager console
- Log on to the Trend Micro Deep Security Manager console.
- Right-click the vCenter entry and select Synchronize Now to trigger a force sync. It will update the current ESXi version to NSX deployment section.
- Re-deploy the package.
If you encounter a failed status after the deployment, check this article "Service Trend Micro Deep Security will need to be redeployed..." alarm shows on NSX manager.
