An issue was reported in OfficeScan 11.0 Service Pack 1 Critical Patch 6540, where users fail to update VSAPI 11.0. A symptom of this issue is when the agent keeps reloading.
If you encounter this issue, Trend Micro advises that you adopt the latest critical patch from the Download Center.
However, if you are not yet ready to adopt the latest critical patch, the following approaches could be leveraged as a workaround:
- If you have not yet downloaded VSAPI 11.0 from the ActiveUpdate (AU) server, it is advised to turn off any Scan Engine update from the OfficeScan server. Go to Updates > Server > Schedule Update and uncheck Scan Engine Update.
- If you have already downloaded VSAPI 11.0 on the OfficeScan server and deployed to agents, you can roll back. Go to Updates > Rollback and click the Roll Back Server and Agent Versions button for Virus Scan Engine.
You can go to Updates > Summary > (Virus Scan Engine) to check whether VSAPI 11.0 was updated.
