Summary

DSA.exe takes up 25% of the CPU on a computer with 4 CPUs. On a single CPU computer, the DSA.exe causes 100% cpu. In the ds_agent.log file, you see the following error line logged repetitively:

"2019-01-30 17:21:23.000000: [Error/1] | Invalid input. | .\VP.cpp:206:`anonymous-namespace'::CVulerabilityProtection::Check | EC8:26E4:dsp.vp.service"
Details
Public

Make sure that the following registry key hive exists on the computer:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

If the Run registry hive is missing, the Vulnerability Protection (VP) agent will continuously log the error inside ds_agent.log and at the same time, the DSA.exe process will cause a high cpu issue.
