According to Microsoft announcement, SHA-1 code signing will no longer be available starting July 2019. Meanwhile Trend Micro will stop SHA-1 support by the end of 2019 (i.e. all binary releases in 2020 will be SHA-2 signed only).
Users with legacy OS (e.g. Windows 7) without appropriate HF to support SHA-256 might encounter issues with WFBS-SVC. We recommend users to apply the Microsoft hot fix (KB3033929) for SHA-2 support.
Users on Windows 8 and above, as well as Windows Server 2012 and above, already have this compatibility built-in. On the other hand, users running on legacy OS are required to install hot fixes based on the table below to enable SHA-2 compatibility.
