This feature enables administrators to configure rules that in effect will allow traffic to bypass the IPS inspection engine. Any traffic that matches an inspection bypass rule is directed through the IPS without further inspection. In addition, traffic that is passed with an inspection bypass rules does not count against the maximum traffic capacity of the device. Inspection Bypass Rules is a feature available in the following TippingPoint devices;
