The Certificate Number of the IPS/TPS is the unique "software" serial number which is used to register and identify your device for entitlement to Threat Management Center (TMC) and TippingPoint Support.
The format of the Certificate Number is as follows: XXXXX-XXXX-XXXX
The first set of digits is the IPS/TPS model type (ie. 440T= Model 440T or 2600NX = Model 2600NX). The middle set of digits is the unique ID of the IPS, and the third set of digits is the manufacturing date code
The Certificate Number is output using the CLI command "show version" as the Serial Number.
