How To: Import or Export an Active Response Action Script
1. Log in to the SMS from a client.
2. On the SMS toolbar, navigate to the Responder->Actions tab screen.
3. In the Response Action Types area, do the following:
- To import an action script
- Click Import.
- From the Choose File dialog, select the file type (Quarantine Action Package, by default) and navigate to the script to be imported. The Quarantine Action Package type includes both XML and QDP file formats.
- Click OK.
Note: If a previous version of the script exists, a warning dialog indicates that this action will overwrite an existing script file. If there is a problem during the import process, an error dialog displays and the action script is not imported.
- To export an action script
- Click Export.
- From the Save File dialog, navigate to where you want to save the script and select Quarantine Action Package for the File type.
- Click OK.
- The Script Manager saves the script as an XML file.
How To: Delete an Active Response Action Script
1. Log in to the SMS from a client.
2. On the SMS toolbar, navigate to the Responder->Actions tab screen.
3. In the Response Action Types area, do the following:
- Select a type of action and click Delete.
- Highlight a type of action, right-click and select Delete.

2. On the SMS toolbar, navigate to the Responder->Network Devices tab.
3. In the Network Device Type area, do the following:
- To import an action script
- Click Import.

- Click OK.
