In rare conditions, duplicate agent records may appear on Trend Vision One endpoint security console if Apex One security agent GUID and Endpoint basecamp GUID do not match.

To avoid this issue, Apex One™ On-Premise Service Pack 1 Patch 3 (build 13122) adds an enhancement to address duplicate agent records. However, this could cause affected security agents to lose current agent logs and revert to using default policy.

 
This issue only affects user environment where Apex One On-Premise servers are managed by Apex Central registered to Trend Vision One.
 

Recommendations

  1. To minimize the impact of policy settings reset, users are advised to review/redeploy their Apex One security agent policy after applying Patch 3.

    Users can check this on web console under Policies > Policy Management > Product: Apex One Security Agent > Endpoints/Products without policies.

  2. Backup/export agent logs. For more details, please refer to Querying Logs.
  3. The enhancement applies to the security agent modules. Users may also mitigate potential impacts on critical endpoints by managing security agent upgrade deployment.
