In order to mitigate the impacts, Trend Micro has removed the engine version 12.000-1008 from Trend Micro Active Update servers for the following products which may have a possibility of encountering the performance issue.
- ServerProtect for EMC Celerra
- ServerProtect for Microsoft Windows/Novell NetWare
- ServerProtect for Network Appliance Filers
- ServerProtect for Storage
A new stable version, which is version 12.100-1001 of scan engine VSAPI is now ready for these products.
It can also be downloaded here:
- WinNTKD 32-bits (MD5: 72090c3c92419afcb315ac46aba7e539)
- WinNTKD 64-bits (MD5: 66f5e5b671e0c5b2246daf0921bfa1f1)
For customers that have no access to ActiveUpdate server, please refer to this KB article to manually replace Scan Engine via Control Manager / Apex Central.
For customers who have already applied VSAPI version 12.000-1008 on the above Server Protect products, Trend Micro recommends that you update the scan engine to version 12.100-1001 to proactively prevent the issue from occurring.
