Hot fixes are downloadable code fixes for bugs or specific issues encountered by specific customers. Hot fixes are meant to be interim solutions that will eventually be consolidated into a patch or service pack for your product.

Trend Micro recommends applying patches or service packs instead of individual hot fixes whenever possible.

 

To enable this option:

  1. Install or uprgade to Hotfix Build 3085.
  2. Open the Registry Editor.
  3. Add the following key.

    Key: HKLM\Software\Trend Micro\File Encryption\UsingZip

  4. Restart the File Encryption service.

To use this feature:

  1. Right-click on the file or folder that you want to encrypt.
  2. On the Windows shortcut menu, click File Encryption > Archive > Fixed Password.
  3. Select "Output encrypted data as a ZIP file with password".
