Who can join and participate in the Community?

Anonymous users can view the interactions—discussions, questions, answers—within the Community. However, for a more interactive and personalized experience, you can login to the Community using your Business Success Portal login credentials to ask questions, provide answers, or participate in discussions with peers, experts, and Trenders.

Searching for information

The main landing page features a search bar that automatically suggests topics based on the keywords you entered. Can't find what you are looking for? Log in and ask the community what you want to know. Experts, Trenders, or your peers will be there to get you an answer.

Looking for discussions on specific product?

At the top of the page, you will see a tab for Topics, you can click on it and select the product that you are interested. Once on the product page, you can browse and search for what you want to know. If you cannot find what you are looking for, simply go to the discussion tab on the page and post your inquiry for others to engage with. Soon enough, you will have the answers you need.

How do I filter discussions?

You can sort discussions based on Top Questions, Latest Posts, or the Most Recent Activity by clicking the dropdown button under "Sort by".

You filter the discussions further by navigating to the filter icon on the top right of the page and selecting on of the following options: Unanswered Questions, Questions with No Best Answer, or Questions with Best Answer (recommended).

In most cases, we recommend that you select the Questions with the Best Answer, as they contain the correct answer immediately after the question. No need to read through all the lengthy discussions.

How do I participate in the discussion?

If you have a similar question to one that has already been asked, but is currently unanswered, you can Upvote a question to increase the urgency of the question. The Upvote function also promotes the question or the answer to get the attention of community members.

If you have the answer to a question or want to add a clarification to the original question, click Answer. If you wish to send the discussion to a colleague, click Share and you will be able to share to a group, to your followers, or copy the link to use in any communication medium that fits your needs.

Have a question?

Click Ask a question and ask away. Make sure your post is specific, clear, and complete. Include any error messages, system information, and recent software or hardware changes when you post. Please do not include any personally identifiable information or sensitive information about your business.

What are the general rules or guidelines when participating in the community?

Participants are expected to maintain a positive environment and encourage productive conversations in this forum.

  • Post questions and/or answers in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Do not post anything offensive or harmful to other members, or about other products/services.
  • Post relevant comments and always stay on topic.
  • Refrain from posting topics that are not related to Trend Micro products. When posting third party products or services, make sure that it is related and relevant to the topic at hand.
  • If members want to shift to a different topic, please create a separate thread.
  • Do not post any information in the Community that is not for public consumption. Posting personal and/or sensitive information is not allowed.
  • Refrain from spamming/flooding or posting advertisements of third-party products/services.

Any violation of the above guidelines will be subject to Moderator action.
