Summary

User agent checks can be enabled in Deep Security Manager (DSM) console sessions using DSM commands. Session Hijacking can be prevented by checking the user agent info in the session.

For new installations of DSM 20.0.605 or later, user agent checking is enabled by default. It is not automatically enabled if you have updated from a previous version.

To turn on setting for DSM to check user agent in the session, use the following command:

dsm_c -action changesetting -name settings.configuration.enhanceSessionIDSecurityWithUserAgentCheck -value true
