One of the changes made in the lastest DSA v20.0.0-6313 is that it now requires TLSv1.3 to communicate to the local Smart Scan server. The Linux Smart Scan Protection Server (SPS) for Deep Security utilizes TLSv1.2 and as such, is unable to establish the connection to the agent, resulting in the error:

"536870919[0x20000007](ICRC_HTTP_ERROR), 35[0x23](SSL connect error)”

Trend Micro will be releasing a debug build during the week of February 13th to customers who have reported the issue to Trend Micro technical support. If there are no major issues reported from the debug builds and after proper QA, the permanent fixes will be included in the March 2023 DSA release.

Customers who are impacted may use one of the following temporary workarounds until either a debug build or permanent resolution is made available:
  1. Use http:// vs. https://
  2. Downgrade to the previous agent (20.0.0-5761)
  3. Disable the local SPS server and use the Global SPS.

Customers who need additional assistance should reach out to their authorized Trend Micro technical support contact.
