To keep kernel support after KSP revision, it is suggested to upgrade the Deep Security Manager to the Feb 2024 release or later and upgrade the Deep Security Agent to 20.0.0-8453 or later. This makes sure that machines can have Linux kernel support in the future, as KSP also goes through revisions and updates.

If you decide not to upgrade to DSA 20.0.0-8453 and later, and used a new kernel that Trend Micro does not support, Linux Anti-Malware engine will change to Basic Mode, also known as “fanotify mode”. Basic Mode has some known issues which may cause system-wide freezing. It is strongly recommended to perform the DSA upgrade to prevent this issue.
