To hide the Apex One agent icon, follow the instructions for the product that you are using below:

If there is a need to revert the settings, repeat the entire procedure but untick the check box in Step 6.

  1. Log in to the Apex One web Console.
  2. Go to Agents > Agent Management.
  3. Select the domain/endpoint where you want the Apex One icon turned off.
  4. Click Settings > Privileges and Other Settings > Other Settings tab.
  5. Go to Security Agent Access Restriction.
  6. Tick the Do not allow users to access the Security Agent console from the system tray or Windows Start menu checkbox.
  7. Click Apply to All Clients or Save.

    The value of the following registry key will be updated to the following:

    • For 32-bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\PC-cillinNTCorp\CurrentVersion\Misc.

      • 202 = Restrict
    • For 64-bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\TrendMicro\PC-cillinNTCorp\CurrentVersion\Misc.

  8. Restart the Apex One agent.

  2. Go to Policies > Policy Management.
  3. Select the Policy Name where you want the Apex One icon turned off.
  4. Under Agent Configurations, click Privileges and Other Settings > Other Settings tab.
  5. Go to Security Agent Access Restriction.
  6. Tick the Do not allow users to access the Security Agent console from the system tray or Windows Start menu checkbox.
  7. Click Deploy.
